THE PROJECT
Rokstad Power was selected by Long Lake Hydro Inc. to complete the procurement and construction of a new 6.2 mile long 138 kV transmission line near Stewart, BC. This line was constructed parallel to an existing 138 kV, which was salvaged upon completion on of the new line, over rugged mountainous terrain that is primarily only accessible via helicopter.
The project scope included the mobilization of construction and transmission line crews, right-of-way staking and clearing, structure site preparation, material hauling, foundation construction, structure assembly, structure erection, conductor stringing and fiber splicing. Upon completion of the tie-ins, commissioning, and testing, Rokstad Power crews demolished and salvaged the existing 138 kV line.
