Rokstad Power partnered with Wilson Construction to construct the Western Alberta Transmission Line South Lot. The project included the construction of a 500 kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line (approximately 100 miles long) designated 1325L from the new 500 kV Sunnybrook Converter Station to new 500 kV Crossing Converter Station (adjacent to the existing Langdon/102S 500/240 kV AC Substation).
- Stringing 10 sub-conductors of 1590 Falcon wire.
- Air-Crane methods were used for tower erection and smaller helicopters were used to pull sock-line.
- Nearly 20,000,000 pounds of steel were assembled and over 420 towers were erected.
