Brucejack Mine

THE PROJECT

Rokstad Power was contracted to construct an approximately 35 mile long 138 kV overhead transmission line for the Brucejack Mine, near Stewart BC. The single circuit 138 kV Brucejack transmission line comprises of three sections as follows:

  • one mile long segment between the existing Long Lake transmission line (1L403) and the new Brucejack Terminal (BJT) Station.
  • Approximately 25 mile long segment between the new Brucejack Terminal (BJT) Station and the new Knipple Glacier Substation (KNG).
  • nine mile long segment (to be operated at 69 kV) between the new Knipple Glacier Substation (KNG) and the Brucejack Mine Substation (BJK).
