THE PROJECT

Rokstad Power was contracted to complete 15 miles of new double circuit 138kV steel monopole transmission line between the Black 253S Substation and the Queenstown 504S substation east of Calgary. The existing 138kV wood pole H-frame 852 Line between Blackie 253S and Queenstown 504S was salvaged (structures & conductor) prior to the construction of the new line. Direct embed foundations were utilized for the new steel monopole structures.
