THE PROJECT

Our Western Canada Division signed a new contract with BC Hydro to replace approximately 16, 400 streetlights in the Southern Interior of the province. The work will commence in September of this year and conclude by the end of 2023.

The team up North is also finishing up a project in Whistler BC that they began last summer. The first phase of the project was completed in November and phases two and three began in June this year and are on schedule to be complete by the end of August. Phase one included live line replacement of 50 distribution poles, conductor stringing, and the addition of a second 25 kV circuit on the poles. Phase two includes live line replacement/relocation of 14 distribution poles, conductor stringing, and the addition of a second 25 kV circuit. The final phase involves the new construction of 10 spans of single circuit 3 phase 25 kV powerline from the BC Hydro Point of Interconnect to the IPP’s Terminal Pole.
