THE PROJECT

Rokstad Power was awarded a significant portion of the work under the ROC Program. The purpose of this work is to support the delivery of BC Hydro’s distribution overhead and underground (4-69 kV AC) work including trouble response, maintenance, system improvement and customer-driven work programs throughout British Columbia.

69kV/12kV Falcon Substation Rokstad was awarded a new project to install a 69 kV/12 kV substation in Glendale, Arizona by Arizona Public Service (APS). The project includes the installation of new foundations, ground grids, trenching, conduit, perimeter fencing and gates along with all electrical construction. Fire Restoration Work In 2020, California set a record for most acres burned in a single year, eclipsing 4 million. Rokstad was tasked with securing numerous crews and tools, mobilizing to the affected areas, and restoring the grid to working order. Read more →
PSPS (Public Safety Power Shutdown) Patrol Work Due to the high potential for wildfires in California, PG&E has been proactively shutting down power during high-wind events. Rokstad has logged over 8,000 man hours on PSPS Patrol Work in 2020. Read more →
Western Canada Streetlight Replacement Our Western Canada Division just signed a new contract with BC Hydro to replace approximately 16, 400 streetlights in the Southern Interior of the province. The work will commence in September of this year and conclude by the end of 2023. Read more →
PG&E – Inspection Work We are currently inspecting both distribution and transmission power lines in Northern and Central California. Read more →
SCE – 55kV Rebuild The project includes setting new steel poles in place of the existing wood structures and reconductoring both circuits installing 336 ACSR conductor. Read more →
Southern California Edison (SCE) – Electrical Construction Services Rokstad Power was awarded a significant portion of the work under the Electrical Construction Services Contract. This program is a distribution service contract, performing both underground and overhead services for SCE over the following regions: Desert, Orange, Metro East, San Jacinto, Rurals and North Coast. TD Construction Alliance Rokstad Power was selected for a multi-year program to perform storm response, new revenue work, pole construction and replacement, and all other 69 kV and below overflow work from the local utility crews in Phoenix, Arizona. Read more →
